A typical day at Pezulu

A typical day starts with an early morning wake up between 5:00 and 6:00 am depending on the time of the year. Shortly after, you head out into the bush in an open 4x4 safari vehicle.

Experienced guides share their extensive knowledge of the bush with you. With a bit of luck, animals such as leopard and hyena are still around after their night of hunting. You can observe black and white rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, a variety of antelopes, ostriches, birds... You stop at a nice spot in the bush for tea, coffee and rusks. After this interesting game drive you return to the lodge for a hearty brunch.

The middle of the day can be spent as you wish. Maybe you prefer to sit on your private balcony reading a book and listening to the sounds of the bush or to relax at the rock swimming pool.

High tea is served at about 3:30 pm before heading out for the afternoon game drive. We enjoy the sunset behind the stunning northern Drakensberg mountains with a refreshing drink and snacks. After this romantic break, we continue the game drive trying to view nocturnal animals by spotlight.

We return to the lodge at about 7:00 pm. You can relax in our original treetop bar before a traditional South African dinner is served.
