A typical day at Pezulu

A typical day starts with an early morning wake up between 5 and 6 am, depending on the season. Shortly after, you head out into the bush in an open 4x4 safari vehicle.

Experienced guides share their extensive knowledge of the bush with you. On our big 3 game drives you can observe rhinos, buffalos, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, a variety of antelopes, ostriches, birds and if you are lucky leopards and hyenas. On the big 5 game drives you can also spot elephants and lions. You stop at a nice spot in the bush for tea, coffee and rusks. After this interesting game drive, you return to the lodge for a hearty brunch.

The middle of the day can be spent as you wish. Maybe you prefer to sit on your private balcony reading a book and listening to the sounds of the bush or to relax at the rock swimming pool.

High tea is served at about 3 pm before heading out for the afternoon game drive. We enjoy the sunset behind the stunning northern Drakensberg Mountains with a refreshing drink and snacks. After this romantic break, we continue the game drive trying to view nocturnal animals by spotlight.

We return to the lodge at about 7 pm. Time to freshen up a bit or enjoy a nice aperitif in our original treetop bar before a delicious dinner is served around a log fire in our traditional boma.
